Sweat Guard®'s Green Mission: Eco-Friendly Solutions
As the world celebrates Global Recycling Day on March 18th, it is a prime moment for businesses and individuals alike to reflect on the environmental impact of our choices and practices. “Recycling is a key part of the circular economy, helping to protect our natural resources. Each year, the ‘Seventh Resource’ (recyclables) saves over 700 million tonnes of CO2 emissions and this is projected to increase to 1 billion tons by 2030. There is no doubt recycling is on the front line in the war to save the future of our planet and humanity.” Courtesy of the Global Recycling Day website. Sweat Guard's recycling journey is continual, and highlights our commitment to innovation and responsibility for preserving our planet. Sweat Guard’s Commitment We are renowned for our clinically proven solutions to manage hyperhidrosis and excessive sweating. Our customers often share with us that our underarm antiperspirant is the best antiperspirant for excessive sweating. Besides our promise to help people manage excessive sweating, we recognise the critical necessity to play our part in environmental conservation. This awareness ignites our continual shift in our operational and product strategy, aligning with sustainable, eco-friendly principles. Our greener practices symbolise our moral commitment to the planet and forthcoming generations. Revolutionising Packaging with Bioplastic In September 2023, we changed our plastic antiperspirant bottles to sugarcane bioplastic bottles as a sustainable alternative. Our goal is to reduce plastic within the Sweat Guard® range, while maintaining our commitment to keeping you dry. Our sugarcane bioplastic bottles are 100% recyclable and contain 78% bioplastic. These bottles are manufactured from wild sugarcane, a renewable plant source, which requires less energy compared to traditional plastic production methods. When we greened our antiperspirant roll-on bottles, we changed the roller ball to ones that are larger and easier to use. This means you need to apply less antiperspirant for the same effective no-sweat results. The same tried and tested clinically proven antiperspirants loved and trusted by many, now in more environmentally responsible “wilder”, sustainable and easier to use bottles. Don’t take our word for it, read the latest feedback from our customers via our reviews on TrustPilot. David C, a loyal Sweat Guard® customer, had this to say about the change in our bottles. “I have been using this product for about 5 years. The Bottle has changed shape a few times but not an issue.” Labelling with Nature in Mind Introducing NatureFlex™ labels on our sugarcane bioplastic bottles marks a significant stride in eco-conscious packaging. Made from wood pulp from responsibly managed plantations, NatureFlex™ is biodegradable, compostable, and minimises environmental impact. Using biodegradable adhesive for these labels further solidifies our holistic approach to sustainability. We’ve made it easier for you to recycle. You don’t need to remove the label from our bottles before you recycle. Please check with your local authority for the best way to recycle our sugarcane bioplastics bottles. Extending Sustainability Beyond Products Sweat Guard's dedication to environmental conservation extends to all our packaging materials. Whether it's the outer recyclable cardboard postal boxes that your order is packed into, or the box your sweat pads come in, these boxes are sourced to make recycling easier for you. Our brand strategy is to facilitate responsible waste management right from your doorstep. Addressing the Disposable Dilemma Just as the outer boxes of our much favoured underarm sweat pads are recyclable, so too are our armpit sweat pads. Made from 100% plant material, they can be disposed of in your recycling bin. Not only is this good for the environment, but it's hygienic too. R Williams’ (correct spelling) life has changed since they started using our underarm sweat pads. “These underarm sweat pads have changed my daily life. I suffered with cold sweaty armpits at work for years... leaving me feeling cold all day. The sweat pad takes all the moisture, so I don't have cold sweaty armpits anymore and my clothes no longer smell. They are really easy to put on and take off and after a few days, you don't even notice you are wearing them. An amazing product.” Our butterfly breast sweat pads are also made from 100% plant material, making them an environmentally wise choice if you are looking for a solution to cleavage sweat. Natural Linen Jute Soap bag Our 60g soap bars, Natural Antibacterial Deodorant Soap and Aloe Vera Natural Soap Bar come with a free eco-friendly jute soap bag. Our modern-day ‘soap on a rope’ is designed with sustainability in mind. Our jute bag reduces plastic waste because they are biodegradable, offering an eco-friendly alternative to traditional soaps wrapped in non-recyclable packaging. Choosing this option not only benefits your personal hygiene but also contributes to a greener planet. A Future Oriented Towards Eco-Consciousness Sweat Guard® is relentless in our pursuit of adopting and exploring eco-friendly innovations. Our brand's journey towards sustainability is marked by continuous learning, adaptation and engagement with partners, suppliers, and customers to foster a shared vision of eco-friendliness. Rallying the Community for a Greener Tomorrow On Global Recycling Day and beyond, Sweat Guard's transformation serves as a reminder of our collective responsibility towards the environment. Hopefully, our initiatives encourage others to make eco-friendly choices and support brands that prioritise the environment, and actively take part in recycling efforts. Sweat Guard's journey from conventional practices to sustainable solutions in packaging exemplifies our unwavering commitment to environmental stewardship. As we commemorate this day dedicated to recycling, we hope you draw inspiration from our endeavours and affirm your dedication to fostering a greener, more sustainable future for all.
